(If my French isn't too rusty...) ISF is appealing to Montrealers to
contact their city councilors to support the proposed
municipal-community wifi plan that would see ISF get $1 million in
funding over five years to install 150 free hotspots in parks and
public spaces across the city.  The deal has been in the works for
months, and appears to have stalled at city hall -- ISF is trying to
get it moving again.

The article also mentions that ISF has been approached to host the
2009 International Summit for Community Wireless Networks -- I hope
that happens!
