1) Wireless Wednesday on June 27th

Join us at 7PM on Wednesday at Lot16 Bar (1136 Queen St. W., west of
Dovercourt) for our monthly evening to celebrate our successes and drown our
sorrows.  It's casual, and some of the conversation will _not_ be about
wifi.

2) Next hacknight on July 10th

Our next monthly hacknight is on July 10th -- we'll be working on the
community portal pages.

Part of what distinguishes Wireless Toronto's network from "normal" free
wifi are our community portal pages -- the web pages that people see once
they log into the network, which feature site-specific information about
each particular hotspot location.

We've talked about lots of ideas over the past two years for what we'd like
to see on these portal pages, and are a bit behind with our implementation.
So at this hacknight we're going to hack some APIs, PHP and CSS, and spiff
up the portal pages.  Or at least make some progress in that direction.

Hacknights are held in the studio at Inter/Access, 9 Ossington Ave., at
Queen, and begin at 6:30pm.  (Best to arrive on time... we won't start over
again for latecomers.)

Note: if you're new to Wireless Toronto, hacknights might not be the best
introduction.  Our focus is on the project, and on building more than
chatting.  But if you're good with a soldering iron and/or writing php and
want to get your hands "dirty", do drop in.

3) Harbourfront Centre lit up!

The official launch isn't until next month, but the York Quay Centre at
Harbourfront Centre is the newest Wireless Toronto hotspot.  It's also one
of the biggest!

4) Next new-volunteer meeting on September 11th

If you'd like to get involved with Wireless Toronto, you have two options:

come to one of our new-volunteer meetings.  The next one will be on
Tuesday, September 11th at 6:30PM at the Centre for Social Innovation, 215
Spadina Ave.
